Pre-Release Software

Access to pre-release software is included in Apple Developer Connection Select and Premier memberships. Providing developers with early access to Mac OS X, Xcode Tools, Mac OS X Server, development kits, documentation, samples, and demos allows for early compatibility testing, bug reporting, and technology adoption. To access pre-release software, follow the steps below.

  1. Join the Apple Developer Connection

ADC Select and Premier memberships include five (5) ADC Software Seed Keys. An "ADC Software Seed Key" is required to access pre-release software. These keys may be transferred to other developers, used as often as needed, and are valid for one year from the date of purchase of the original membership. Any transfer of assets may be made only to another ADC member at your company.

  2. Stay Informed

This email includes announcements of new software posted to the ADC Member Site, bug reporting instructions, contents of special mailings as they occur, and other helpful info for members using pre-release software in their development efforts.

Special sets of bootable discs are delivered to ADC Software Seed Key holders when appropriate.
